Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift was released today, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2003 GBA title. Grimoire of the Rift is the next installment in the Ivalice Alliance series, which includes the other hit portable Final Fantasy titles, FFT: War of the Lions, and FF VII Revenant Wings.

I would love a free copy. That would really make my summer. [p] As for my favorite game in the seires, it would be Tactics:The War of the Lions. The game has everything a perfect game should have. Epic and complex story, interesting characters, intuitive gameplay, and some nice graphics to boot. And the remake of the remake makes it 10x better. No more engrish script for me! As for favorite battle....It would be the random battle I fought in Tactics against a group of 11 monks. Goodness that was difficult. But I love a challenge. and as for the job I would try first...It would be all of them.

The Final Fantasy series are my favorite RPGs. They always have a strong story and memorable characters.

Awesome contest; FFTA2 is one of my most anticipated games, but I don't have the money for it right now. I'd love to win. I'm still playing my original FFTA file, and I recently hit 200 hours on it. It's easily in my top 10 favorite games of all time. Can't wait for 400 more missions and touch control. Oh, and is only one comment allowed?

I will not lie; I have never played any of the games in the Tactics series, but now is a good time to start. The game looks really fun, and I'm sure 400 missions would have me going for a long while. I hope I win this game!

I have not played tactics since the playstaion days. Don't remember much about it....

I played the heck out of the one for the GBA, as did my cousin. We played it together using the GBA-to-Gamecube thing. My favorite part was paladin dual wielding excalibur and ragnaros or sumthing like that: it made random battles fun. I'm sure she'd love this as well for her DS.

I want to win as I love tactical games... BTW is it only one entry per person or no? Should I just post a bunch of posts?

i have every final fantasy game I even have with my frends ff con every new ff and it ends the day after the games reles last one it was 10 day 7 for turnaments and 1 for history 2 for movies animations and more. i wis i could get this game as a free copy

I so want to get this game! FFTA is great, and so is FFT on the PS1. Also have FFT:TWotL, of course. ;)
What I love the most about this particular spin-off series is the strategic elements. It's like playing chess, but with actual characters as the pieces, much more variety, and happens to be lots more enjoyable as well. I find great joy in games that require clever thinking to progress and possess memorable stories... :)

I LOVE Final Fantasy! The role playing scene for the Nintendo ds is probably the best RPG scene since snes! Remakes, new gamers, new of gameplay with stylus! Its fantastic that omgrpg brings all this goodness to us!

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong game, but I remember getting into some giant Eden tower thing, and having saved...and of course as the story goes I got 15 levels in and just couldn't beat it... Tons of hours of gameplay gone, I never started over.

Still I enjoyed the game, this could be another try.

Im gonna be totally honest...I have never played a Final Fantasy tactics game but I absolutely love how they are doing remakes on the DS. I hope that eventually leads to a FF VII or even better, because its my personal favorite, FF VIII remake ^^
