WoW: Wrath of the Lich King release date (sorta) announced

May. 14 7:54 PM by Mark Burnham

In a press release Vivendi Universal recently bragged about their success so far this year: €5.3 billion, which is up 5.6% from the first quarter of last year. And yes, Blizzard was an obvious huge part of that, €221 million (approximately $341 million U.S.)
The entire document is 11 pages long, and, I will be truthful with you, not a very fun read. It's one of those documents that always makes you says stuff like "if only they would give me one of those millions..."
But the big sort of news is what's right on the front page, "anticipated to be released in the second half of 2008," referring to the massively anticipated expansion World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. Well, cool. Good to know. It gives me a bit of time to be very social, outdoorsy perhaps, save it all up and then cash it in for the hopeless recluse I'll become later this year.

Oddly enough, I raid most nights and I'm neither hopeless nor a recluse. I know quite a few people who play WoW without sacrafice to their personal lives. Thats a bit of a false (and negative) stereotype, so I figured I should correct it here and now.

Back on topic, I am beyond eager to get my hands on this expansion. Blizzard has yet to disappoint me on any title they have released, so here is to continued quality!

Agreed! ;) I play MMOs and also go outside, was exaggerating and being silly to say "i'm excited."
