BioWare Making Sonic RPG - No Sh#$

The latest issue of Nintendo Power has the story, which is this: BioWare is making a Sonic the Hedgehog RPG for the Nintendo DS. If anyone besides BioWare was making this, I would have to accuse Sonic of the "Jason goes to space" syndrome - like when the Friday the 13th formula had used every shtick on earth, and had to go to space in part 10 or whatever). But then again BioWare is making it. The title, for goodness sakes, is Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. They're really going for it. More info after the jump.

Here's a few details that are known so far:

Will feature 11 playable characters from the series

Each character will have a special ability. i.e. Tails can fly.

The game will be played completely with the stylus

Battles will not be random. Enemies will be on-screen all the time, a la Final Fantasy 12

Check out some screens . We'll give you more details as they emerge. Here's to hoping you can upgrade your armor using those little fluffy creatures somehow. It's called Dark Brotherhood after all.
