It has become more and more obvious to me as I travel Northrend that literate folks like me have long since disabled Trade and General Chat. I'm not sure what my compulsion is to read and goad the natural creatures born of these channels, but I just can't seem to stay away. "Where does this quest mob spawn?" "Where are the Scourge for this tank quest?" and my favorite lately WTB Port To Dalaran PST me! Let's start there, PST is an acronym for Please Send Tell, it is a request for an action, not an action itself, you cannot PST someone, you can ask that they PST you, but to PST someone implies you're spitting in their ear while trying to tell them a secret.

PSSST I'm dumb! Sorry. No secret there!

Somehow these people got to level 70, and somewhere in their travels they had to have experienced use of their quest log, or better yet a site like thot or wowhead. They couldn't possibly have just killed boars endlessly until a GM took pity on them and bumped them up to level 70. Darwin would spit up!

Of course, there are those who would say that a nice person would help these poor souls find their way, but at the same time isn't this the whole socialism vs. capitalism argument? If you do everything for someone, they never learn to do anything for themselves, they constantly rely on others and my poor whispers frame gets filled with every idiot from Howling Fjord to the Borean Tundra! If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, if you teach a man to mine for fish, you feed him for a lifetime!

Learn to read! This is a MMO filled with witty quest dialogue, and quests trying really hard to diverge from the kill ten wolves variety. One quest had me attack a mounted Knight, and yes it took me a second before I realized that you could target the rider separate from the mount in order to kill him, and horse jack his Scarlet Onslaught ass like a cab driver in GTA4. Another quest gives you a baby Murloc to look after, and if you're not into the touchy feely Murloc stuff you can always torture civilians in the Death Knight starting zone.

Wrath of the Lich King has something for everyone, but please don't ask your realm to carry you academically. It is your responsibility to install QuestHelper from Curse, to keep a wowdb browser minimized while you play, or gods forbid you just read the damn quest log! It's all right there! You'll find them at the South Querry. Then you press M you load up your map and you look for the area marked South Querry. I guarandamntee you that you'll find the droids you're looking for!
