WoW Wake-up: Wormholes, Get Your Title On, Inscription Updated

Sep. 2 8:53 AM by Mandifesto

Welcome to September, WoW players. Last week saw much movement in the Wrath beta, in that the latest patch added some super awesome elements. While I spent the weekend enjoying the Refer-a-friend leveling experience bonus, I spend my nights split between raiding and doing daily quests to raise mad cash. Why would I need so much gold? Three little words: Magnificent Flying Carpet. As I continue my quest for the epic flying training, enjoy these stories about our favorite MMO.

WoW news after the jump.

* MMO Champion has highlighted a couple interesting new elements added to the Wrath beta with the 8885 build, including the news that now mages won't be the only ones able to transport their party around the map. Engineers will have access to Wormholes, the first of which will transport the entire party to Gadgetzan. Let's hope that eventually engineers will be able to warp their group to someplace a bit more...useful.

* A bevy of new titles were added in this latest beta build, and WoW Insider has the complete list for your inspection. The most interesting to me is the Ambassador title, earned by those who become exalted with all Horde/Alliance core factions. Knowing how easy it is now to gain core city reputation, I imagine we will see gaggles of Ambassadors this Winter.

* Most of my time in the beta has been spent farming low level herbs to try out Inscription. Somewhere in the latest builds (not sure exactly when, seeing as how I was circling Redridge for hours at the time and didn't notice) Inscription got a revamp. With the current incarnation of the profession, players are able to level up to 225, Pomaces have become Pigments, and Glyphs were finally added to the game at a low enough level for them to be immediately useful. I will most definitely be updating my Powerleveling guide now that the profession has opened up, but for the moment know that any Scribe with a skill level of 75 will be able to create glyphs that will be useful for all classes. For example Arie the Lock made for herself a Glyph of Corruption, that allows for the chance of a secondary Nightfall of sorts, where your next shadow spell becomes instant. This glyph added to the joy that is Chaos Bolt makes me a happy happy Mandifesto.

"New Tailoring Ability in WotLK. Requires level 70, 450 tailoring, epic flight training. Soulbound and Unique."

I was going to ditch my cloth priest and level my fury warrior. Now I have to do both. =(

So there's more than just one reason to keep playing your priest: I am having loads of fun with Guardian Spirit. In fact I have to say I'm having loads of fun with all my clothies now that they feel so friggin' epic.
