Last month rumors surfaced about the possible US release of Ar tonelico 2, and seeming confirmation came in the form of a Playstation: The Official Magazine article stating that US RPG lovers would be able to get their hands on the emotional song fest in December of this year. Now we have confirmation, in the form of a NIS America press release, stating that we will indeed be able to revel in our Reyvateil relationships this winter.
I'm always interested in the variations developers take with a turn-based battle system, and so I definitely like the idea of integration of the quick-time events during the Defense phase of the battle. Not sure how I feel (no pun intended...well maybe just a little) about playing a game with an emotion gauge. It reminds me of Super Princess Peach, and that's not a good thing.

Comments
If this game is anything like Ar Tonelico 1, the fights will be so easy that whatever the Emotion Gauge does won't matter. :/ The first game went "sing make boom, you win."
I'm really, really hoping AT2 gets a better localization than Mana Khemia did. The parts that had to be ADR'd were fine, and then there were chunks of tutorial and encyclopedia text that made no sense at all.
A lot of crucial text in AT went unvoiced, and if it's treated just as lazily as MK's unvoiced text, the game's gonna be a slog to play. Honestly, I'm going through Disgaea 3 right now and even THAT has some mangled tutorials.
