Aug 11th:
7am ~ Hey there peoples, Crimson N Clover here. Today BlizzCon tickets go on sale!! I have been waiting for this day for weeks... Well, at least since they announced the date. My friends and I have grand plans of mischief and wrong doings in Anaheim. D is going to buy all our broke asses tickets.
10am ~ D fell through. Seems he has no cash until Friday. Damn.
~I work until 1pm, so I have to wait until I get off to purchase the tickets of awesomeness. I hope they don't sell out.
~Shoot. Just found out that the website is down. Oh wells, at least that gives me some leeway to get my own tickets. Man! I am so excited.
2pm ~ Ran in to a problem, I don't have a credit card. Oops! Hmmm, maybe someone I know can let me use theirs.
3pm ~ . . . No one I know has a credit card. Shit, now I am a bit nervous. Oh well, the website is still down. Hopefully a miracle happens.
10pm ~ Website still down, ticket sales postponed until tomorrow. Hitting the hay, night!!
Aug 12th:
6am ~ *Yawn* Work time. Man, I needs me some tickets.
3pm ~ Off work. Omgomgomgomg the website is back up!! Turns out my sister has a credit card I can use. Yay!! Let the Ctrl + R commence.
5pm ~ Been refreshing this damn BlizzCon store page for a couple hours now. Blue posts say tickets are sold out, but a reserve stock is going on sale at 8pm. After trolling my WoW guild's website, I see that some people bought tickets today. Blue text ... Grrrrrrr.
7:30pm ~ My sister is sitting here begging to watch some lame comedian on YouTube. Doesn't she understand the importance of my CONSTANT Ctrl + R?!
7:45pm ~ I gave in to my sister. She is letting me use her C.C. after all. Damn it. But this guy is kind of funny - Shit, need to refresh!
7:50pm ~ Ahhhh! 10 mins until tickets go on sale again - Refreshing like a pro.
7:59pm ~ *Pant* And the website it down......... AGAIN.
7:59 - 8:15 ~ REFRESH!!!!!!!!!!
8:15pm ~ It lives!! Placing order now!
8:16pm ~ "One or more of the items in your basket has changed availability while you were shopping" Wh- WHAT?! You have got to be freaking kidding me? I just sat here for HOURS refreshing this site for nothing. Oh come the hell on ... I might get a little teary eyed here.
8:20pm ~ So, it turns out I don't even need a ticket. GamePro and all of its fantasticness is giving me a press pass. It's not for sure yet; but shoot, wouldn't that be awesome?! Supposedly it gives me access to special press rooms, and I don't have to wait in line. Mainly, I am just excited to be able to get in the doors of BlizzCon.
~ In a state of remorse since none of my friends were able to get tickets. No BlizzCon shenanigans after all. Bitter sweet press pass.
Aug 14th:
~ 7:36am ~ Mandifesto emailed me a link to Mike Morhaime's apology (http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/), and the announcement of 3,000 more BlizzCon tickets being given away by a lottery. It seems this is Blizzards attempt to make up for the circus act they tried to call ticket sales& ~I can't wait for my friends to wake up so I can tell them the good news!
10am ~ All's calm on the western front. I am now only burdened with a need for transportation to Anaheim. I knew three people in my home town who were going, but none of them got tickets; so no bumming of rides for me. Hopefully one of them wins the BlizzCon lotto.
Aug 15th:
~ From Blizzard.com: http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/
"We recently announced that we will be offering 3,000 more BlizzCon 2008 tickets for sale via a drawing. Soon, eligible Blizzard Account holders who created accounts prior to 9:00 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 will be able to opt in for a chance to purchase up to two tickets to the show. We're aware that many players are waiting for this drawing, and we appreciate your continued patience as we finalize the details. We'll have more information to share here and on our other websites early next week."
~*Crossing fingers for my friends* I might also enter it. But I am not sure if I can give away my ticket or not.
Aug 16th:
~ Now we wait. I hope some of you were able to get your tickets. My manager got his without a hitch ... jerk. For those of you who are not as lucky as that S.O.B, keep checking out omgRPG and Blizzard.com for updates on the BlizzCon 08 ticket lottery.
Cheers!

How many of your friends ended up getting tickets? I know when a whole group are looking to make this a road trip it gets even more stressful than normal. Hope it all works out!
None of them got them. Not a single friggen' person. Also, many of them did not have Blizzard accounts created, because we were relying on D to buy the tickets for us.
So now my kick ass road trip and hotel stay has become a mild solo airplane ride... and a box? Still figuring out the details. ;)
This reminds me of a friend who set up this huge trip to Otakon with a bunch of friends, who all flaked out and didn't get their tickets in time. So he ended up stuck paying for the big suite they were going to share by himself, and didn't actually enjoy the con much.
(Of course, Blizzcon has to be more enjoyable solo than Otakon, or any other anime con.)
